Are you always doing stuff for everyone else? If you answered yes, you need to read this.

Do you ever stop?

 

I mean, actually stop – take a breath – and take the time to wonder why you’re always so knackered, or overwhelmed, or lost?

 

If the answer’s never – or rarely – you’re not alone! I see so many clients at Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach who admit that they never stop.

 

Life just doesn’t seem to allow them any time for themselves – they’re so busy running around doing stuff for everyone else, that when they collapse, exhausted, in front of the TV each night, they’d be hard pushed to find even one small thing they did that day just for their own wellbeing.

 

I can usually tell when my client has reached that tipping point.

 

Even if they haven’t said anything before their Reiki Treatment, after spending 45-minutes working my way through their energy centres (chakras) it’s usually pretty obvious where their energy flow has stalled.

 

Thankfully, by coming for a healing Reiki session, they’ve already started the process of realigning their chakras, and they’re usually so deeply relaxed and regenerated afterwards that they almost float out of The Cabin!

The effects of a soothing Reiki Treatment usually lasts days, if not weeks – but if you allow the outside world to start taking over again, then often that the old familiar feeling of fatigue will return again.


And if you don’t stop the cycle, fatigue can sometimes turn into a far more serious situation.

 

That’s why I always advise my clients to come back for a Reiki top-up if they feel themselves starting to spiral again.

 

Having a Reiki Treatment once a month, or even once every six weeks, is sometimes all it takes to keep you on the right track.

But interestingly, this week I had two ‘regular’ clients who actually hadn’t been for their usual Reiki Treatment for a couple of months. Life events had got in the way – becoming a grandmother, moving house and changing jobs, were just some of those big life moments that had prevented them from booking in.

 

Naturally, we were interested to see what their Reiki Treatment would reveal after time away…

 

…and we were so thrilled with the results!

 

Aside from a couple of sticky energy centres, which were quickly realigned, both of my clients were in excellent shape, despite taking a break from Reiki.

 

Both women were delighted, though admitted they were surprised, given what they’d both been through recently.

 

But that’s the beauty of regular Reiki – it builds up the body’s resilience, and it really does help you handle life’s ups-and-downs.

 

Who knows, had they not spent the previous six months topping-up their Reiki and looking after their own well-being, it may well have been a different story.

 

So, as we hugged and said our goodbyes this week – and I looked forward to seeing them again next month – I said my own silent prayer to universe, grateful for yet another sign that this Reiki thing really does work!
