Several clients have visited me at Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach recently, looking for help in dealing with their grief – this time of year seems to amplify the loss of our loved ones.
Without exception, however, the grief they were carrying wasn’t from a recent loss, but from a loss they experienced many years ago – in one case, many decades ago.
I find it really sad that they’ve been carrying that heartache every day of their lives since their loved one passed. It’s a very heavy burden, and it can weigh you down to the point where it seems to block out all the good things that life has to offer.
That’s where Reiki can help.
Reiki is all about release. It helps you to let go of any emotional pain that really isn’t serving you anymore.
As a holistic therapy, Reiki forms a mosaic of healing for body, mind, and spirit. Through the gentle touch and focused intention of a qualified practitioner like me, it paves a path towards inner peace and clarity, and its benefits truly are amazing.
Whether it’s relief from physical or emotional pain that you’re looking for, Reiki always offers an answer.
When it comes to grief, of course, that’s a natural process that everybody goes through at some stage. And it’s absolutely essential that we grieve our loved ones.
But it’s equally important to remember that we also have a duty to live our lives, and to enjoy our lives in a way that our departed loved ones would want us to – without feeling guilty.
I know from my own experience how hard it can be to let go of your grief, but I also know that it was Reiki that helped to release me from that feeling of being stuck in those dark feelings.
To begin with, Reiki didn’t completely remove the sadness (although that did come with time) but it did allow me to experience the joy of life again, and when that happens, life always gets easier.
If what I’ve written here strikes a chord with you, then I really would urge you to consider Reiki as a way forward through your grief. Don’t just suffer in silence.
See Reiki as the start of a process to help bring you back to being the real you.
Until next week.
Much love,
Denise
