Don't you just love it when you learn new things?

This time last week, I was nearing the end of a three-day Reiki Retreat with internationally renowned teacher, Frans Steiner.

Boy, what a mind-blowing experience it was!

As I was explaining to one of my Mintaka Reiki client’s a couple of days ago, I could have stayed in that beautiful, blissful space forever! My client understood – he knew how relaxed and rejuvenated he felt after just 45-minutes of Reiki in The Cabin, so he could imagine how I felt after three whole days of the good stuff.

Although I’ve read several of Frans’ books, and watched him on-line (ihreiki.com), nothing could compare to actually spending time with this amazing teacher, absorbing his insights and wisdom, and sharing Reiki with him.

I wanted to do the Reiki Retreat because, now that I have my own Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach practice, I want to consistently make sure that I’m offering all I can to my clients, and as I also teach Reiki, there’s always something new to learn about this amazing healing technique.

Usually, Frans teaches in America, Asia and across Europe, so how blessed was I that he had decided to hold a retreat in near-by Matlock, sharing his knowledge and wisdom.

But what Frans was really teaching was ultimately so much more than Reiki techniques or words.

It was a feeling.

It was Frans’ mission to help us, his students, to generate, and then release, that feeling within ourselves – a feeling which we would then go on to share with our own students and clients.

It's certainly my intention to do just that. And I have to say, in the treatments I’ve given this week to clients, I can certainly tell that things are different: more intense, deeper, more involved.

Don’t you just love it when you learn new things!

I suppose that’s why I teach Reiki to other people – because I see it as an ideal opportunity to say to people that there is a different way to live your life, it doesn’t have to be like this.

I want people to know that a lot of the problems they’re experiencing can be turned around, simply by looking at life in a particular way.

And Reiki shows you how to do that.

There’s an old saying: nobody lights a lamp and keeps it under a table.

Well, I know that my lamp has been lit, thanks to Reiki, and I’m determined to keep shining that light in the hope of helping others find their way, too.

Until next week.

Much love,

Denise
