Is your child struggling with life’s challenges? Reiki is here to help.

Another busy week for me at Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach, and I was thrilled that there were two beautiful kids among the clients who came to see me in The Cabin.

I love working with children – and I love it even more when parents recognise the benefits, healing – and joy – that Reiki can bring to their children’s lives.

Research constantly shows that these days around one-in-five children are struggling, whether it’s with school stress, problems at home, anxiety… you name it, just like adults, children can succumb to all of life’s stresses.

And that’s a great shame.

But Reiki healing always offers a way through the dark days.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Reiki is a safe, natural, and simple healing technique, which many people turn to as a way of helping with physical problems, such as pain, insomnia, infertility. You name it, Reiki can help it!

But Reiki isn’t just about physical healing; it also delves deep into emotional and spiritual wellness – which is where it can help you with worry, stress, and anxiety.

This week, one of my child clients decided that, although they still wanted to occasionally come to The Cabin for a Reiki Treatment to help with their anxiety, they also wanted to learn how to give themselves Reiki every day.

Music to my ears!

After adapting my adult Reiki I workshop, I now offer children a two-hour, one-to-one course, explaining what Reiki is and how it can help them deal with whatever challenges may come their way.

My kid client this week seemed to really enjoy their Reiki I course and was able to take away lots of coping strategies for when life threatens to overwhelm them, which they’ll be able to use at any time of day, wherever they are, and whatever they’re doing.

Mum sat in on the course too, and while the three of us chatted about the various ways that Reiki can bring calm and balance into life, it was lovely to hear mum being as enthusiastic as her kid about Reiki.

I can’t wait to hear how things change for my kid client – because it will change, now that they have Reiki in their life.

Of course, Reiki isn’t magic, they’ll have to put the work in and actually practice their new-found skills, but investing just 10 or 15 minutes a day in their own self-care is so worth it – and with loving parents encouraging them too, Reiki can soon become just part of their normal day: a sanctuary, that always helps.

Much love,
